Deep Listening, Real Change: My Approach as a Therapist in Los Angeles (Online Sessions Available)

Are you feeling overwhelmed by depression, struggling with persistent anxiety, navigating the painful journey of grief and loss, or facing challenges in your relationships? As an experienced psychotherapist based in Los Angeles, I offer a supportive and insightful path toward healing and growth through convenient online therapy sessions.

My practice is built on the core belief that profound change begins with truly being heard and understood. That's why deep listening is the foundation of my therapeutic approach. I strive to create a safe, trusting, and comfortable environment where you can openly explore what isn't working in your life without judgment. Together, we'll cultivate a sense of curiosity about your patterns, challenges, and the underlying roots of your struggles, paving the way for real change.

My Background: Experienced and Qualified to Support You

Born and raised in Los Angeles, California, I am a fully licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and a licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC). Furthermore, I hold an AACAST certification as a Couples and Sex Therapist, demonstrating my specialized expertise in addressing intimate relationship dynamics.

My experience extends to working with adults, teens, couples, and families across a wide spectrum of emotional and relationship issues. My academic journey includes a B.A. in Liberal Arts with concentrations in Psychology and Music from Sarah Lawrence College, followed by a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University. My clinical training was completed at the esteemed Maple Counseling Center in Beverly Hills, California.

I have also received extensive training in grief and loss through my work with adults, children, and teens at Our House Grief Support Center. This valuable experience has equipped me to compassionately guide individuals through the complexities of bereavement. I have also had the privilege of presenting on the topic of grief throughout Los Angeles County, sharing my knowledge at schools, conferences, and mental health facilities.

A Special Focus on Creative Individuals:

As someone deeply appreciative of the creative spirit, I have a particular interest in working with creative individuals. I understand the unique challenges and triumphs inherent in the lives of artists, including navigating creative blocks and finding balance between personal responsibilities and artistic pursuits.

My Therapeutic Approach: Tailored to Your Unique Needs

My primary therapeutic orientation draws from the principles of Psychoanalytic and Psychodynamic psychotherapy. This approach emphasizes understanding the unconscious patterns and past experiences that influence present-day thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. However, I believe in the importance of flexibility and integrate techniques from other evidence-based modalities to best address the specific needs of each client I work with.

While every individual's journey is unique, a guiding principle in my practice is a profound respect for your innate desire for positive change. Whether you are grappling with feelings of being overwhelmed, processing the pain of grief from the loss of a loved one, relationship, or job, or experiencing the debilitating effects of depression or anxiety, I believe a warm, honest, and collaborative therapeutic partnership can be instrumental in navigating these life stressors.

I offer you that kind of partnership. With dedicated effort and consistent engagement in therapy, I am confident in my ability to help you enact the change you would like to see in your life.
